Strengthening

Social
Leader Action Networks
By necessity,
organizations and their boards must pay close attention to administrative
and financial requirements, but over time these fiduciary roles
can overshadow the original passion which inspired their work in
the first place.
The Social Leader
Action Networks convene board members, civic leaders, and nonprofit
staff to engage and build dialogue around community issues within
a specified community. By engaging social leaders across multiple
groups in the underlying purposes of their organizations, the Action
Networks will make connections bridging across activity areas and
constituencies, reduce fragmentation and reconnect organizations
to the values and ambitions of their founders.
The Minnesota
Council of Nonprofits will be sponsor a number of Social Leaders
Action Networks in the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota starting
in March 2007.
