Online
communications are constantly evolving, and nonprofits are continually
improving their Web sites to engage, inspire, and connect their
communities through innovative communications technologies.
To highlight
this exciting movement, the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits will
recognize some of the best Minnesota-based nonprofit Web sites during
our second annual Dot.Org Awards at this year’s Nonprofit
Technology and Communications Conference.
MCN
is currently seeking nominations for the Dot.Org Awards from
now until 5 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2008. Nominations
will be accepted from nonprofit staff, volunteers, clients,
consultants and the general public.
Nominations

Winners will be notified by March 12, 2008.

AWARDS
SELECTION AND CRITERIA
Winners will be selected
by panel of communications and technology leaders, and will be awarded
at the conference's lunch on Thursday, March 27. Winning organizations
will receive two free admissions to the conference, recognition
at the conference and in MCN promotions, a certificate, and other
special prizes.
Judging will be based, in part, on
the premises that great nonprofit Web sites:
- are generous in sharing
information,
- allow for constituent action and
participation,
- illustrate the organization’s
mission,
- fit with the organization’s
brand,
- are easily accessible to all
people, and
- encourage connections and
networks.
Winning
organizations will recieve two free admissions to the conference,
recognition at the conference and in MCN promotions, a certificate,
and other special prizes.

Nominations were accepted from nonprofit staff, volunteers, clients,
consultants and the general public. 501(c)(3)
and 501(c)(4) organizations are eligible for nomination.
