HONORING VOLUNTEERS DAY at the Dakota County Fair

The Volunteer Committee of Dakota County SLAN has organized an "Honoring Volunteers Day" at the Dakota County Fair on Sunday, August 10th, 2008.
Outreach activities will start at noon at the tent located next to the Pavilion, just left of the 2nd Avenue entrance to the fair. Attendees can learn about volunteer opportunities throughout Dakota County and participate in Speed Volunteering Activities.

Speed Volunteering will let you participate for a few minutes or a whole half an hour preparing projects like birthday bags for Cheerful Givers from 1pm - 1:30pm; or, kits for the Minnesota Zoo from 3pm - 3:30pm. Several organizations will have special surprises for the day, please drop by anytime between 12:00pm - 4:00pm.
