Leslie Nitabach is the development manager for the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits. Since 2004 Leslie has been responsible for developing and managing MCN’s relationships with private, corporate and community foundations. This work includes: developing an annual fundraising plan for the organization, building relationships with new grant prospects and maintaining strong relationships with current funders, writing proposals and reporting on MCN’s outcomes in all its program areas. In addition, Leslie serves as a trainer and facilitator in the area of fundraising and development and is the researcher and editor for MCN’s annual publication, Minnesota Grants Directory. Leslie has worked in a number of nonprofit settings since receiving a Masters of Macro Practice Social Work in 1995 from Boston University where she gained experience working in the areas of HIV/AIDS and community mental health. Before starting at MCN, Leslie worked in both fundraising and program/executive management with the Lyndale Neighborhood Association.
